
Each year in August, National WIC Breastfeeding Week is celebrated in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week to promote and support breastfeeding as the best source of nutrition for a baby’s first year of life. This year’s World Breastfeeding Week theme, Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility, focuses on how breastfeeding contributes to the survival, health and well-being of all moms and their babies.
