If you get stuck, go to our Facebook page and write your question in the comments. Maybe another reader of our blog will be able to help.

In all seriousness, people of all ages might come into contact with poisons, and need to call the Poison Control Hotline at 1-800-222-1222. If you’re not comfortable speaking on the phone, go to the online poison help tool. Current trending topics are opioid (narcotic) pain medications, E-cigarettes and liquid nicotine, and cannabidoil, but the website does give users the opportunity to type in the type of poison that is in use and receive immediate help.

If an individual has collapsed, had a seizure, has trouble breathing, or can’t be awakened, call 911 immediately.
