The Malheur County Health Department (MCHD) is saddened to announce the first death in Malheur County with COVID-19. The death occurred of a male, in his 70s. The positive COVID-19 test was reported postmortem.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends affected by this death.

Contact tracers are working diligently to trace and ensure our community remains as safe as possible. MCHD nurses have started the case investigation and we will release more information about the case when possible.
